Job Title: Paralegal
Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 4-5 Months Assignment
100% Onsite role.
Legal Document Processing
- Review, prepare and file joinders, judgments, subpoenas, and other legal documents
- Draft routine correspondence and communications associated with various legal matters
- Review, analyze, and research contracts, resolutions, ordinances, and statutes under the direction of the General Counsel
Member Service
- Serve as a main contact for members, counsel, and other parties in connection with marital dissolution/community property matters; explain processes and procedures, answer questions regarding required documentation, status, etc.
- Assist members, parties to legal matters, and staff by e-mail, phone, and in-person regarding relevant legal documents and requirements
Recordkeeping
- Organize filing systems
- Maintain tracking and status information for outstanding legal matters
- Coordinate with SCERS staff regarding legal issues affecting pending member applications and issues.
