Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Analyzes flaws in procedures or data and suggests system modifications.
- Manage, solicit, negotiate and track service contracts and spot rates.
- Reviews inbound domestic LTL/FTL and international CL/LCL rates, quotes, shipments, and invoices including parcel services to ensure cost effectiveness and savings.
- Works closely with US and International Customs and Duties, multiple shippers, couriers, and freight forwarders.
- Acts as an expeditor and coordinates with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to resolve delivery problems.
- Schedules and follows timetables to ensures timely and accurate delivery for client orders.
- Utilize freight management tools and software to document and process shipments.
- Prepares, obtains signatures for Bills of Lading, and provides BOL’s to customers for domestic and international shipments using TMS system or software.
- Prepares, provides claims or dispute documentation for AP (PRO #, NMFC number, BOL, Packing Slips, Spec Sheets, etc.)
- Engage in regular communication with clients and addresses client issues or changes to the next level.
- Aids Customer Service Representatives concerning order status and special customer needs on a daily basis.

- Bachelor's preferred but not required
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of International and Domestic Freight: 5 years
- Knowledge of customs and duties for inbound/outbound shipments including NMFC Codes and classifications)
- Must have good communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Must be reliable and accountable.
- Must be able to multi-task in a high paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, TMS (Transportation Management System), and/or applicable software.
- Candidate must be onsite at the CA facility. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
