Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Manager with a strong background in international shipment processing to optimize our global logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing international supply chains, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods, and navigating the complexities of cross-border logistics, compliance, and documentation. This role will be key in ensuring smooth and efficient global distribution and transportation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage International Shipments: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all international shipments, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Vendor and Carrier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with international freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping carriers, and suppliers to ensure smooth, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods.
- Customs Compliance & Documentation: Ensure accurate and complete shipping documentation, including customs paperwork, import/export declarations, and bills of lading. Manage the compliance of international shipments with applicable regulations (incoterms, tariffs, duties, etc.).
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate international transportation from origin to destination, managing the entire logistics lifecycle, including air, ocean, and ground transportation.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during international shipments, working closely with internal teams, customs authorities, and external partners.
- Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage logistics budgets, track transportation costs, and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve international logistics processes, implementing best practices to increase efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on inventory levels, shipment schedules, and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years focused on international shipment processing.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping processes, customs regulations, import/export compliance, and freight forwarding.
- Experience with logistics software (e.g., TMS, ERP systems) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of global shipping regulations (e.g., INCOTERMS, HTS codes, and trade compliance).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and international partners.
- Fluency in multiple languages (preferred, not required).
