Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer configure and optimize MongoDB databases for performance and scalability
- Manage AWS RDS instances ensuring reliability backups and disaster recovery
- Implement monitoring performance tuning and database optimization strategies
- Develop and maintain backup recovery plans to ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and indexing strategies
- Ensure database security compliance and best practices are followed
- Knowledge of Oracle databases for migration support and integration purposes
- Automate database tasks using scripts and tools Python Bash etc
Qualifications Skills: Required
- 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator DBA
- Strong expertise in MongoDB Atlas including replication sharding and backup strategies
- Hands-on experience with AWS RDS PostgreSQL MySQL or SQL Server
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience with database security backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Nice to Have Bonus:
- Experience with Oracle Database and Google CloudSQL administration
- Experience with newer Postgres competitors like Yugabyte and CockroachDB
- Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL database integration
- Scripting experience Python Bash or similar
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform for database automation
