Company Overview:
Outlast is disrupting the largest market you’ve never heard of. The bulk recyclables industry is a :$1 trillion industry – yet is largely a technological desert. Outlast is transforming recyclables trade through technology. Our platform enables suppliers and buyers to safely and effortlessly transact their materials at the push of a button. Beyond connecting suppliers and buyers, we also provide global logistics, financing, and quality control. As a company, we are keenly focused on optimizing the customer experience and doing good for the environment by promoting recycling. On the latter, the proof is in the facts: recycling 1 ton of material is the equivalent to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of more than 7,000 miles in a passenger car. Outlast is poised for explosive growth, completing several rounds of funding and landing contracts that can scale to $100s of millions in revenue.
Opportunity Overview:
As our Freight & Logistics Manager, you'll be the driving force behind moving scrap metal and other recyclables efficiently across domestic and international markets. This isn't just about coordinating shipments—it's about creating a competitive advantage through logistics excellence.
You'll take ownership of our entire fulfillment process: executing sales and purchase orders within tight timeframes, optimizing freight costs, preventing operational errors, and ensuring material moves when and where it needs to go. Your responsibilities will span preparing documentation, managing carrier relationships, coordinating shipping schedules, and supporting the efficient flow of materials through our operation.
This role requires someone who can jump between strategic planning and hands-on problem-solving. One day you might be analyzing freight costs to improve margins, the next you could be on the phone resolving a container issue at the port. You'll need to build and lead a team that shares your commitment to getting the job done, no matter what challenges arise.
You'll work directly with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams (sales, operations, and management) to ensure our supply chain runs smoothly. For someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in solving complex logistics challenges, this position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our bottom line while building a world-class logistics operation.
