The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of logistics operations, ensuring efficiency in warehouse management and material flow. This role involves managing the warehouse, paint shop, blast house, and janitorial staff. The supervisor plays a critical role in optimizing productivity, controlling costs, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control process
- Excellent Communication skills
Duties include but are not limited to
- Assign daily activities to Logistics personnel (warehouse, paint shop, blast house, & janitorial)
- Monitor daily activity to ensure workflow continues throughout the department
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distribution of materials
- Implement best practices for material handling
- Coordinate with production and purchasing teams for timely material availability
- Oversee schedule for painted and blasted parts
- Supervise janitorial staff to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Ideal candidates would have the following qualifications:
- Have 5+ years in a supervisory role
- Be able to read blueprints
- Microsoft programs
- Must be able to read and write in English
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and production environments with exposure to paint, dust, noise, and heat/cold
PPE is required at all times in the plant
