Position Overview
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse and logistics functions, ensuring that all processes are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role includes managing staff, optimizing warehouse layout, and coordinating with suppliers and carriers to enhance supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all warehouse operations including inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement within the logistics process.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and other logistical data.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and manage stock levels efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory software.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
