This pivotal leadership role will be responsible for ensuring seamless operational execution while driving the company’s operational and financial KPIs.
Role Overview:
The Operations Director will be responsible for the overall operational administration and management of our key operational functions. This includes overseeing all aspects of Warehouse, Fulfillment, and Logistics to ensure efficient operations across the company. You will lead the development and implementation of strategies that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale operations, optimizing supply chain performance, and leading cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operational management and administration of Warehouse, Fulfillment, and Logistics departments.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance, efficiency, and financial outcomes.
- Drive the achievement of operational and financial KPIs across all areas of responsibility.
- Oversee and optimize warehousing processes, inventory control, and fulfillment operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
- Manage the logistics strategy, ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, both inbound and outbound.
- Implement process improvements to reduce costs and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to teams within Warehouse, Fulfillment, and Logistics.
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to ensure seamless integration of operations with broader company strategies.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and resource planning to meet operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards across all operational areas.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring continuous operational growth.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Operations Director or in a senior operational management role, preferably within the logistics, supply chain, or hospitality sectors.
- Strong expertise in Warehouse Management, Fulfillment, and Logistics operations.
- A demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful operational strategies to meet both financial and performance goals.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on improving efficiency and optimizing processes.
- Ability to manage large-scale operations and develop cross-functional relationships.
- A solid understanding of KPIs and how to leverage them to drive performance and business outcomes.
- Experience working in the cruise, travel, or hospitality industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
