About the role
Gagosian seeks a proactive, enthusiastic, and organized Human Resources Coordinator to support US HR initiatives. This role is integral to the successful coordination of internship recruitment efforts, campus engagement initiatives, and the programming of our highly-regarded internship program. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in HR, recruiting, and programming, with a particular focus on fostering emerging talent and developing impactful internship experiences.
Candidates should be detail-oriented, inquisitive, possess strong judgment, and have excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Recruitment and Internship Program Coordination
– Own and maintain the recruitment and administration of Gagosian’s prestigious internship program, including sourcing candidates, leading campus recruitment initiatives, hosting information sessions, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, and onboarding interns for New York and Beverly Hills locations.
– Develop and implement meaningful programming for interns, such as professional development workshops, guest lectures featuring global gallery staff, cultural field trips, and networking events designed to enrich interns' experiences.
– Support the HR & Talent Manager in recruitment for entry level roles, new employee onboarding, including preparing welcome materials, coordinating orientation sessions, updating HR systems, and ensuring compliance with onboarding processes.
HR Administrative Support
– Maintain and update employee lifecycle processes within established HR systems, including updating onboarding and offboarding documentation, maintaining accurate HR systems records, and employee files.
– Provide direct administrative support to the Global Head of HR and Director of HR, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing expense reports, and maintaining meeting records.
– Draft internal communications such as wage notifications, employment verification letters, staffing announcements, and Intranet updates.
– Ensure staff compliance with mandatory training sessions and handle related correspondence.
– Provide general administrative support to Payroll & Benefits Managers, assist with incoming correspondence, and support departmental audits.
Qualifications for this role
– Bachelor’s degree required; minimum of 2 years of relevant HR, recruitment, or administrative experience.
– Demonstrated interest in recruiting, programming, project management, and human resources.
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
– High degree of professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal skills.
– Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with comfort using HRIS platforms.

Position Type
Full-Time/Regular/Non-Exempt/Salaried position with overtime. Monday to Friday, onsite, with additional hours as needed.
Compensation
$60,000–$65,000, annually.
