Position Overview:
Beacon Industries, Inc. is searching for experienced Aerospace Quality Assurance Inspectors that are self-motivated to join our Quality Assurance organization. Beacon Industries is a build-to-print machine shop that specializes in machining medium to large, complex, airframe components for the commercial and defense aerospace industries.
We have an immediate need for qualified individuals with aerospace machine shop part inspection or similar experience to join our Quality Team. Candidates should be experienced in inspecting aero related components and assemblies with at least 3 years of experience, preferred experience and skillsets include but are not limited to:
- Knowledgeable in reading and understand typical Aerospace Industry related blueprints and engineering specifications, including GD&T applications.
- Highly skilled in aerospace industry related parts inspection techniques & activities.
- Ability to use standard inspection tools for measuring and recording parts dimensions to engineering drawings and specs.(this includes but is not limited to basic Surface Plates layouts using handheld and precision instruments such as; micrometers, calipers, scales, height gages, pin & profile gauges.
- Document inspection results in accordance with procedures and guidelines, complete & review inspection forms for proper content, this may also include First Article Report activities
- Inspecting parts for 1st. piece or in process run requirements for release to run-enter production status or related authorizations.
- Document/record deficiencies and errors of product per internal non-conforming product control
- Experience with multiple types of materials and processes, incl. Stainless, Aluminum, Titanium, Annealed, Anodized, Passivated, machined products
- Experience with tight tolerances, ie. +/- .0001”.
- Experience working with engineering/programming staff and inspection dept. personnel in daily activities.
- Experience working within(the understanding of) a AS9100 approved Quality Management System environment.

Experience Required:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as ratios and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic Algebra and Trigonometry.
- Education/experience typically acquired through 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience(advanced education and specialized job specific training highly desirable).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Read, write, speak & comprehend English
