SUMMARY:
The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for maintenance of company machinery and leading a preventative maintenance program. Additional responsibilities including assembly/ electrical work on Hydro-Mechanical Equipment such as Water Control/ Dam Gates, Wire Rope, Hydraulic or Actuator driven Hoists.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
- Set up a preventative maintenance program and schedule work
- Use proper PPE for all tasks being performed
- Cleaning tools and equipment to prevent damage
- Cleaning work areas before and after shift
- Comply with safety practices and environmental standards (per EPA and OSHA regulations)
- Ability to run conduit using a hand bender and fittings
- Ability to read schematics and perform wiring accordingly
- Ability to assemble components using blueprints and written instructions
- Inspect, assemble, and align equipment parts such as gears, bearings, shafts, and motors for water control systems such as gates and hoists.
- Proper use of precision tooling such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
- Ability to work from scaffolding and other elevated settings
- Ability to operate overhead crane and jib crane

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
· Able to meet estimated times and quantities of materials required
· Able to manage multiple projects at once
· Experience using a variety of hand and power tools
· Ability to work as a part of a team and independently
· Strong mechanical aptitude

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
- Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
