Job Title: Logistics & Transportation Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Logistics & Transportation Manager to support our healthcare supply chain operations. This role will focus on evaluating third-party vendor relationships, analyzing transportation spend, and optimizing contract and logistics strategies to improve cost efficiency and service quality. The ideal candidate has strong experience handling complex data, negotiating with suppliers, and recommending system improvements, particularly within the healthcare logistics space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and negotiate terms & conditions and payment terms with third-party vendors and suppliers.
- Gather and analyze invoicing data to evaluate total spend on inbound transportation across multiple locations.
- Interpret complex and incomplete data sets to uncover actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making.
- Examine purchase orders to determine cost implications and feasibility of contract modifications.
- Develop and present comprehensive value propositions, including transition plans, risk assessments, and stakeholder considerations.
- Recommend and assess Transportation Management Systems (TMS) based on operational needs and data analysis.
- Ensure a strong understanding and application of shipping terms, freight contracts, and logistics compliance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align logistics strategies with broader organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation analysis, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with large and/or incomplete data sets.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics contracts, incoterms, and TMS platforms.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare logistics—either from a provider or manufacturing perspective—is highly preferred.
