General Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the buying department in all aspects including daily communication with warehouses and allocating merchandise to stores.
Major Responsibilities
- Daily Communication with warehouse regarding order maintenance; PO issues.
- Write and follow up with purchase orders.
- Place buys under direction of Division President and Buyer including written orders and follow up.
- All coordination of paperwork and shipping.
- Markdown maintenance under direction of Buyer.
- Input and classify new styles.
- Attach and maintain merchandise UPC’s.
- Verify invoicing against closed PO’s.

- Ability to understand and follow somewhat complex verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
- Must be organized, able to set priorities, and a self-starter.
- Job duties tend to be recurring, but occasionally requires attention to and/or coordination of concurrent job duties.
- Under direction, examines basic information and/or situations and prepares summaries or draws conclusions for evaluation by others.
Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations And/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years experience in retail or related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Language Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills required
- Good interpersonal skills required
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $24.04/hr - $26.44/hr. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
