Description
Coordinate the right products to be in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantity. Work closely with cross functional teams to align supply, close supply gaps, and communicate supply health, supply risks, and gap closing actions to achieve customer demand and internal business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning Analysts support the business through one or more supply focus areas, Manufacturing-Multiple functional areas, New Product Development (NPD), Business Intelligence (BI), Systems, Supply Demand Balance
- Generate, maintain, and communicate production plans in, one or more supply area, to meet target customer service levels and financial goals.
- Set achievable delivery expectations with our internal partners for product launches, supply gap recovery, and other key production/procurement targets.
- Analyze, monitor, and flag capacity concerns with operations leadership, making recommendations as appropriate.
- Identify problems associated with established production plans and resolve them by collaborating with Planning, Purchasing,
- Utilize analytical tools and methodologies (scenario models, simulation, programming, decision support systems, etc.) to identify potential delivery gaps, improve supply plans, reduce cost, reduce working capital, improve asset utilization, etc.
- Communicate complex supply plans and analyses concisely, simply, and accurately with internal business partners and leaders to facilitate important business decisions.
- Complete Ad Hoc Supply Reviews and/or Inventory removal requests.
- Prep and analyze data for cross-functional meetings (back orders, supply health, production plans, and related topics)
- Lead meetings to review backorders, supply health, production plans, and related topics
- Utilize ERP (QAD) and other systems/tools in conjunction with business processes to drive MRP planned orders toward meeting business objectives (delivery, inventory, cost, etc.)
- Support process improvement projects in respective supply focus area to enhance existing processes and systems.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Education:- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred. May consider relevant work experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Experience:- 0+ years’ experience in Business Analysis, Supply Planning or Inventory Management within an ERP/MRP environment preferred
- Basic understanding or experience in production planning, Sales and Operation Planning, Capacity Management, and scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Basic understanding of data management and analytics software (SAP, Power BI)
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel
- Basic working knowledge of Power BI (Building & Designing), Tableau, or similar business intelligence systems preferred
- Experience with or knowledge of relational databases and programming strongly preferred
- Must possess and demonstrate strong leadership, team building, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter, proactive, well organized and able to make sound decisions from proper data analysis
- Desire to build deep knowledge of medical device products and manufacturing processes
