The Data Analyst Intern will report directly to the Business Intelligence Manager and is responsible for creating standard or ad hoc queries or reports to extract data from disparate databases or data sources. The Data Analyst Intern analyzes data to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights and identify trends or anomalies. Additionally, this role may support advanced analytics initiatives including data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling efforts.
Schedule: Hours are between 8:00am-4:00pm, based on summer/class schedule. Onsite 1 day a week during summer, remote during school year.
In this position, you will
- Data Analysis – Pull and Analyze data and build models that are used by the business or organization to support decision making. Provides technical assistance to users in order to insure the efficient procurement of data. Experience with SQL, R, and Python.
- Reporting - Familiar with modern business intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker. Use detailed specifications from which reports and dashboards will be written. Reports will be designed, coded, tested, debugged, documented and maintained using business intelligence standards. Provides quality report services to user processes within the organization. Quality report services include cooperative design, effective implementation, adequate documentation and continual support of BI reports. Ability to analyze BI reports and respond with suggestions for imrovements and enhancements.
- Other - Under supervision provides security, accuracy, integrity, availability, performance, and validity to all credit union data and all reports. Under immediate supervision, assist in research and fact-finding. Participate with other specialists to improve and/or convert legacy reports to the Credit Unions BI solution. Provide training and assistance to users for generation of ad-hoc reports
- Other duties as assigned.
