UX Designer

We’re growing fast and looking to add a UX Designer to our Product team.

We’re seeking a creative, collaborative and user-centric individual who can blend functionality requirements and user needs to create an exceptional UX. The ideal candidate has a passion for designing intuitive interfaces and a proven understanding of translating complex workflows into simple, user-friendly solutions. This person should have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to create visually appealing and highly functional designs for web and/or mobile applications.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in UX Design, HCI or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in UX/Product design for web and mobile applications
- A portfolio demonstrating process, research methods and finalized solutions
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch)
- Basic understanding of user research and usability testing methods
- Solid visual design skills with an understanding of typography, color theory, and layout
- Familiarity with maintaining and contributing to design systems and their implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Basic understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Awareness of accessibility standards and best practices
Job Requirements
- Assist in creating user-centered designs based on business requirements and user feedback
- Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes under the guidance of product leadership
- Participate in user research, usability testing and data analysis
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and other teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems
- Create and maintain user-interface specifications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends and technologies
- Actively participate in the design process and feedback discussions
- Understand and empathize with primary personas and advocate for user needs
- Work on-site at the Olio office (located in Indianapolis, IN)
