Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an
organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education
(USDE). Major course work in Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social
Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field preferred. Each
year of experience as described below in excess of the required
three years may be substituted for thirty semester hours from an
accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis with a
maximum substitution of two years.
- Three years full-tme, wage-earning criminal justice, case
management, case processing, or military experience.
- Parole officer experience preferred.
- Computer operations experience preferred.
- Technical review or program evaluation experience preferred.
- Teachin, training, or staff development experience preferred.
- Must meet and maintain Texas Risk Assessment System (TRAS)
access eligibility for continued employment in position.
- Must have a valid state driver license.
