Essential Requirements:
- At least 4 years of recent experience in training within large SKU, consumer-facing retail warehouses (e.g., eCommerce warehouses, apparel brand warehouses, logistics warehouses, third-party warehouses).
- Experience working closely with operations to continuously adjust training programs based on business model changes to enhance employee efficiency and quality.
- Preference for candidates with both operation and training backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, maintain, and coordinate training modules for various hourly associates across all functions and processes in the customer order fulfillment center, including inbound, putaway, pick, sort, pack, and ship.
- Develop Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) that describe the most efficient way to perform specific tasks or jobs.
- Track and improve learning curves for new hires, full-time & part-time trainers, and coordinate relevant training activities with Safety and HR departments.
- Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring they are familiar with company policies, safety procedures, and job responsibilities.
- Identify skill gaps among existing warehouse personnel and develop targeted training initiatives to enhance skills in areas such as material handling, picking and packing, and quality control.
- Collaborate with the Safety Department to create and deliver safety training programs emphasizing compliance with safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Deliver training sessions through multiple mediums, including classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and e-learning platforms.
- Implement methods for assessing the effectiveness of training programs and individual trainee performance.
- Provide constructive feedback and additional coaching as needed to address performance improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, performance evaluations, and training materials.
- Generate regular reports on training effectiveness and make recommendations for adjustments or improvements.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and changes in warehouse operations to continuously enhance training programs.
- Collaborate with department managers to incorporate operational updates into training materials.
