We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Office Administrator to join our Reston, VA team.

Responsibilities
- Assume leadership role and responsibility for all facets of office operation and facilities; ensure that all office personnel have the tools and resources necessary to effectively discharge their responsibilities
- Maintain utilization of office personnel; ensure all personnel have continued assignments that balance project demands with opportunities for professional development
- Assist the Regional Manager in growing the office under the guise of the current strategy, annual office plans, budget, and goals as set forth by the Chief Operating or Development Officer(s). This may include growing the office backlog, staff planning, expanding the client base, increasing local service offerings, and/or penetrating new markets
- Assist Project Managers in the development and execution of project plans, monthly updates to project plans, quality assurance, budgets, staff requirements, and other responsibilities pursuant to internal project management policies
- Submit proposals of the highest caliber in compliance with marketing standards and practices; collaborate with the Regional Manager and marketing staff in this endeavor; maintain outstanding client satisfaction and relationships, while furthering the firm's image as an exceptional provider of engineering services
- Provide and/or assist in administrative management for all office employees
- Assist in business development efforts in the office by reviewing upcoming projects and identifying the opportunities to pursue
- Identify and facilitate training and mentoring for junior staff
- Assist with contract and resource management in support of operations, specifically with preparation of subconsultant agreements
- Assist in recruitment and liaise with HR on development or improvement plans, training, etc
- Responsible for all administrative functions within office including supplies, events, invoices, etc
Requirements
- BA Degree in Management or a related area
- Experience in office management, public entity contracts, proposal development, etc
- Experience in prior Management of Group or Department
- Outstanding communication—written, oral, and presentation
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and other applicable management and accounting software
