US HR Coordinator
Location: Boston MA, USA (hybrid flexibility with 3 days in the office)
Reporting to: Chief People Officer
The Opportunity
This new role will responsible for leading and delivering comprehensive HR services across all aspects of the employee lifecycle for our growing team based in the US. This role plays a key part in ensuring a best-in-class experience for employees at every stage of their journey. As our first US HR hire, the position operates independently while receiving support from our UK-based team and PEO provider. The HR Coordinator will act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, onboarding, payroll, and HR administration.
This role interacts internally across all departments and levels within the US business. Externally, it involves managing relationships with our PEO provider, legal counsel, and other suppliers or authorities as required.

What You’ll Do
Onboarding
- Manage the onboarding process for all new hires, including preparing induction schedules, processing contracts, and ensuring a smooth integration into the business.
- Notify relevant teams of new hires and departures to facilitate seamless coordination.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Oversee the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for US employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support the administration of US employee benefits, including medical insurance and other perks.
- Serve as the primary contact for employees on maternity leave, handling payroll adjustments and insurance coverage.
Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and best practices for employee relations queries at all levels.
- Assist managers with performance management processes and employee well-being concerns.
- Proactively address employee issues and escalate to the Chief People Officer when necessary.
Visa & Immigration Processes
- Support visa and sponsorship applications for the US, working with employees and external legal partners.
- Ensure compliance with immigration regulations and maintain accurate records.
HR Projects & Initiatives
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies that support business growth and compliance across the US.
- Help manage quarterly sales incentive plans and bonus letters.
- Contribute HR expertise to business projects, aligning with company objectives.
HR Administration
- Draft and issue employment contracts, change letters, and internal communications.
- Maintain accurate employee records and generate reports on key HR metrics.
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and final payroll processing.
- Track and respond to emails from central HR inboxes to ensure queries are addressed appropriately.
- Provide ad hoc administrative support to wider business areas.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience of successfully working within HR functions across multiple regions, including payroll, and employee relations.
- Good working knowledge of US employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to utilize various HR technologies effectively.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of key HR processes.
