Job Summary:
Responsible for day-to-day operational Management of the Nutritional Products Warehouse in Belvidere, NJ – which is a global distribution, a regional distribution center as well a warehouse for raw materials to support the site.
- Manage next to the Belvidere, NJ warehouse a few other, smaller warehouse operations in the NA region.
- Manage the day-to-day operational relationships with various third-party providers, including:
- The warehouse service provider.
- The management logistics service provider.
- Responsibility for facility management of the Belvidere Distribution Center which requires the coordination with and supervision of various contractors.
Key areas of accountability/responsibility:
- The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible to provide the required SHE leadership to secure that all operations in his area responsibility adhere to the standards in terms of SHE and specifically the Life Saving Rules.
- The Warehouse Coordinator personally:
- Acts in such a way that safety awareness & accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks.
- Is aware of and follows all Life Saving Rules.
- Is responsible to work in a SHE responsible manner and to report all SHE incidents.
- Shows leadership by working to SHE standards and encouraging employees to work to the same standards.
- The Warehouse Coordinator will work closely together with the site’s SHE and Security Manager / Regional Transport & Warehouse Safety Provider
- Performance Management of the Belvidere Warehouse Service Provider and 3rd party warehouse providers.
- Responsible for day-to-day operational management and issue resolution.
- Participates in the recurring (monthly or quarterly) Performance management process is in place to secure that services are delivered as per contract and service level agreement.
- Secures that relevant KPIs are measured and reported correctly.
- Operational Transport Management
- Coordinates the distribution and transportation outbound from the warehouses and locations in-scope for this role by working closely with the 3rd party Transportation Management Provider.
- Support the Senior Warehouse Operations Manager in managing the overall performance and the contract with the 3rd party Transportation Management Provider.
- Responsible for facility management and facility improvement projects; including CapEx projects, including:.
- Coordination of activities of contractors within the facility
- Perform Work Permits based on the type of activities and training received

- Ensure that warehouse facilities and operations meet Food-grade GMP standards
- Support site and/or warehouse certification or customer audits.
- Implement corrective actions to address any audit findings.
- Support the root cause investigation of any customer or internal complaint where it concerns possibly issues related to warehousing or transportation from the in-scope warehouses; where required the 3rd parties who manage the warehousing and transportation are to be involved.
- Continuous Improvement
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement in Warehouse Operations and supports the SCM DICI journey.
- Stakeholder Management & interaction.
- Belvidere Production site – this role secures that there is a clear communication possible between the site and warehouse on a managerial and operational level.
- Interacts with a wide variety of stakeholders within the industries, global product management, global supply chain, M&T, global quality, etc. to represent the Belvidere Warehouse operation.
- Will participate in projects which are initiated by either the industries or the M&T organization in case an impact on the warehouse operations is expected to represent the interests of the Regional Supply Chain Organization.
Knowledge and Educational Level
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management. APICS certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with Warehousing and Transportation in general and Hazmat materials.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and/or external parties.
- Problem solving skills in a complex and fast-moving environment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Advanced computing skills in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SAP (R/3 and Business Warehouse)
Experience
- 5 years of experience in a global environment with a complex matrix organization, preferable in the Life Sciences industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in Warehousing and Distribution and the management of the 3rd party logistics service providers.
- Experience with outsourcing of complex and very high standard distribution and warehousing activities.
- Experience in project management with worldwide integrated processes and system collaborating with cross functional teams.
- Proven analytical, leadership, organizational and inter-personal skills.
- Experience in dealing with authorities and internal or external audits.
