Description
The Adolescent Specialists' primary responsibilities are to utilize Evidence Based Programs to conduct education, screenings, assessments, individual and group counseling and engage family members; refer and connect participants to wraparound supports. Additionally, under the direct supervision of the Community Prevention Coordinator, the Adolescent Specialist will work with Farnham staff and community support partners to coordinate the delivery of Early Intervention, Treatment and Recovery Support services throughout Oswego County under SAMSHA standards and guidelines. The Adolescent Specialist is responsible for the project implementation which includes screening, the delivery of EBP’s (evidence-based programs), connection with treatment and other outreach services. The Adolescent Specialist must be able to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in counseling required. Master’s degree in counseling, Human Services or a related behavioral or social science field preferred. Related experience will be taken into consideration.
- Experience working with target age group, 12-25-year-olds.
- CASAC, CPS, CPP or experience in substance abuse clinic preferred. Related experience will be taken into consideration.
