About the Role:We are actively seeking a resourceful Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to ensure proper materials handling. The position involves overseeing inventory, maintaining accurate detailed records on all incoming shipments, and preparing appropriate documentation for inventory control.
Responsibilities:● Ensures the accuracy of all incoming materials by verifying items received against packing slips/invoices and assists in resolving any discrepancies.● Maintains all data and records related to receipt activities.● Counts, sorts, and places materials on racks, shelves, or bins; according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Ensures that labeling is clear and accurate.● Prepares kits for assembly by preparing the appropriate documentation, pulling parts from stock, separating the parts into proper bins/trays, and delivering kits to the appropriate department.● Updates MISys with all system transactions as required.● Processes and controls all RMA activity.● Performs periodic, special, or perpetual physical inventory counts as required.● Delivers material and finished goods to production and/or shipping areas.● Provides backup assistance to the shipping department.● Performs any other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications Required:● 3+ years of relevant experience and knowledge of warehousing and inventory control practices.● Excellent attention to detail and Mathematical aptitude.● Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.● Maintain a neat and organized work area.● Ability to cohesively work and communicate with others in the company and external customers/vendors.● Working knowledge of MRP, cycle counting, and inventory control.● Experience receiving, shipping, packing equipment, and coordinating/scheduling with UPS and FedEx.
Education:● High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:● To perform the duties of this position, you must have the ability to occasionally sit, stand, bend, twist, reach, carry, lift, pull, and push over 20 lbs.● To perform the duties of this position, requires continuous focus on small areas, objects, computers, etc.● To perform the duties of this position in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, operating machinery, temperatures, etc.
