Director of Operations Position Summary:
Bansi Aviation seeks a dynamic Director of Operations to join our leadership team. This pivotal role involves working closely with the founder to oversee third-party vendors, forge industry alliances, and develop product launch and market penetration strategies. As the company grows, this role will evolve to include building and leading a team to manage these critical functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Oversee and coordinate with third-party suppliers, including engineering firms, lab services, part suppliers, prototype builders, and autopilot/flight control systems.
- Alliance Building: Develop and sustain industry alliances, requiring strong presentation and business development skills.
- Product Strategy: Collaborate on product launch strategies and market penetration plans, working closely with our marketing team.
- Leadership: Play a critical role in setting the strategic direction for the company as it scales.

Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and leadership abilities.
- Proven experience in vendor management.
- Strong business development expertise.
- Engineering background with at least 8 years of experience in the drone or aviation industry.
- Expertise in either aerodynamics, drones, or aircraft hardware/software.
- In-depth knowledge of the FAA National Airspace System.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA certification as a UAS Pilot or Private Pilot.
- Familiarity with one or more autopilot or flight control systems such as ArduPilot, Pixhawk, or FlytRise.
