Job Summary
Responsible for designing and creating drawings used to manufacture products within the associated production process, and then inputting data into ERP system based on given specifications. Will also work to improve the company’s existing products and their related manufacturing processes through observation and analysis.
Essential Job Functions
· Year 0-1
o Interact with other departments such as customer service, sales, etc. for product training, design, and support.
o Spend time working with individuals on the shop floor to better understand their process and the products.
o Design, create, and update drawings both manually and with the use of a computer aided drafting system.
§ 90% using AutoCAD Autodesk 2022 [2-Dimensional]
§ 10% using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2021 [3-Dimensional].
o Enter, purge, and maintain data within different documents and systems.
§ Part Number Creation in an ERP System (Infor XA)
· Part numbers drive Work Orders for Production.
· These must be entered into our ERP system based on provided specifications from customers.
§ EXCEL Tooling List Updates/Entries, Data Analysis, Etc.
o Visit customer and vendor sites, if applicable.
o Perform all other related duties as required or assigned.
· Year 1+
o Continues ALL of Year 0-1 duties listed above.
o Analyze product failures that occur during the production process and/or in the customer’s field application to determine causes and then determine solutions to the failure.
o Oversee and perform experimental manufacturing/testing of products.
o Create and maintain databases for product history and testing (aspects such as materials, wear life, performance, manufacturing time, etc.).
o Communicate improvements and new products to other departments.
o Evaluate actual costs to manufacture parts and provide supporting documentation to other departments.
o Participate in the company’s annual capital budgeting process.
o Instruct employees on documentation, procedures, and standards.
o Perform all other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
Requires 2+ Years Manufacturing Experience OR an associate degree in Engineering or equivalent education.
· Experience or Education in an elastomer and/or steel component manufacturing environment preferred.
· Knowledge or previous experience within the mining and/or aggregate industries preferred.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
