Job Summary
We are seeking safety-focused laborers to support plant operations through clean-up and housekeeping tasks across all areas of the facility. Under the direction of a group leader, you will follow assigned instructions to ensure a clean and safe work environment. A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Shoveling of ash build-up from under and around conveyor systems and hoppers and transporting it with wheelbarrows
- General plant clean-up, removal of trash/garbage and debris from repair activities, etc
- Cleaning inside hoppers and boilers (confined space entry)
- Performing Confined Space Attendant duties
- Fire watch duties
- Sweep/Shovel/Power Wash building floors
- Open equipment access doors
- Painting
- Dusting
Abilities
- Ability to lift, push, or pull objects over 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights above 4 feet, and temperatures exceeding 90°
- Capable of performing physical labor for extended periods and maintaining safety standards
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Work in areas that may require the use of the following PPE:
- Hard hats
- Safety glasses
- Earplugs
- Steel toe boots
- Respirators
- Gloves
- Disposable coveralls
- Harnesses when working at heights
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
